Job summary

Lookout Housing and Health Society in North Vancouver is seeking a Program Resource Worker to support guests with housing, health and daily living needs. You will assess referrals, orient guests, and coordinate resources while upholding Lookout’s ethics and safety standards.

The role requires respirator fit testing, a current First Aid Level 1, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Related Certificate; or minimum Grade 12 education, plus two years of related experience; or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with community resources such as addiction, mental health, income assistance.
  • Must have current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate.
  • CPI, Naloxone and Trauma-Informed Practice training is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting; strong organizational skills.
  • Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to guests by sharing information on housing, health and community resources.
  • Participates in social and recreational activities with clients.
  • Administers medications and provides reminders per policy.
  • Assists with activities of daily living, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Accompanies guests to appointments and outings.
  • Maintains records, files and medication charts accurately.
  • Performs cleaning duties and errands as needed.
  • Responds to emergencies and supports a safe environment.
