Job summary

Cadillac Fairview is seeking a construction project coordinator to support design reviews, documentation, and base-building projects across office towers and retail spaces.

You will guide architects, engineers, and tenants, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budgets, and alignment with CF standards. A relevant degree and 3+ years of experience are expected, along with PMP or progress toward it. Competitive package and strong career growth await.

• Minimum 3 years' progressive experience in construction (field and office) or project management.
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction Technology, Construction Management or related fields.
• PMP designation or working towards an asset.
• Knowledge of the industry and related technology.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate review of design and engineering drawings and distribute to consultants and in-house personnel.
• Manage and maintain all Projects department documentation including contracts, bulletins, plans, drawings database.
• Provide information and guidance to tenant designers, architects and engineers with manuals and drawings for CF properties.
• Inspect tenant and base building construction to ensure on-time, on-budget completion with minimal disruption.
• Collect data from contractors regarding budgets for base building renovations to support project, leasing and accounting.
• Prepare and issue contracts; issue purchase orders and process invoices for progress payments.
• Develop scope of work with detailed requirements and RFP proposals for contractors to submit tenders.
• Evaluate and analyze construction tenders to ensure best value for CF.
• Coordinate turnkey projects with consultants, tenants and representatives for seamless move-in.
• Prepare deficiency reports and coordinate with engineers for quality workmanship and code compliance.
• Ensure tenant compliance by sharing base building criteria and system intent.
• Monitor scheduled events, project achievements and required information.

Role Impact

To coordinate and support various construction project activities/processes and implement the landlord's obligation to the tenant with respect to provision of the physical facility and services.

What you will deliver

• Coordinate review of design and engineering drawings by analyzing and distributing them to consultants and in-house operations personnel.
• Manage and maintain all Projects department documentation including contract, bulletins, plans, drawings database.
• Provide information and guidance to tenant designers, architects and engineers both verbally and by provision of suitable manuals and drawings to maintain the integrity of the CF property.
• Inspect tenant and base building construction to ensure work is completed on time and on budget with minimum disruption or downtime for tenants and clients.
• Collect data from contractors and consultants regarding budgets for base building renovations, demolition and restoration to standard to support project, leasing and accounting departments.
• Prepare and issue contracts.
• Issue purchase orders and process contractors' invoices for progress payments by assessing contract status, percentage of progress, consultation with architects, etc. to support accounting department.
• Develop scope of work for construction projects by creating detailed descriptions of requirements and RFP proposals to enable contractors to submit precise tenders.
• Evaluate and analyze construction tenders by comparing competitor's prices to ensure the best value for CF
• Manage office tower and retail tenant turnkey projects by coordinating all aspects and communicating with consultants, tenants and/or their representatives to ensure a seamless move into the property.
• Prepare and follow up on a deficiency report by inspection of construction. Coordinate with engineers to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with codes and standards to provide tenant satisfaction.
• Ensure tenant compliance by sharing information about the base building criteria and intent of base building systems.
• Monitor scheduled events, project achievements and submission of required information.
• Other duties as assigned.

Starting base salary for this job level may range from $58,194 - $77,592. The actual base salary offered will consider several factors including, but not limited to the role, experiences, skills & qualifications, location, market and internal considerations; with this context, CF reserves the right to pay above this range.
