Job summary

AWP Safety in Canada is seeking Traffic Control Persons to join its field crew. Responsibilities include loading equipment, signing workplaces, coordinating with customers, and ensuring safety policies are followed.

Candidates must hold provincial TCP and TC signer certifications, be able to lift 50 lbs, wear steel-toe boots, and have a valid NS Class 5 license if applicable. This role is paid hourly.

Qualifications

• Provincial Traffic Control Person Certification required.
• Provincial Traffic Control Agent/Signer Certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear steel-toe boots required.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring temporary workplaces are signed in accordance with provincial requirements.
• Ensuring all equipment required for the day is loaded on the truck prior to departing.
• Interacting with customers in the field to understand scope of work and level of traffic control required.
• Ensuring Traffic Control Persons are following all safety policies in the field.
• Acting as a Traffic Control Person while crew members are on breaks/lunches.
• Performing routine inspections of temporary workplaces.
