Position Details

We are looking to hire a temporary Shipping Clerk. This position is Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day. Wages: $23.14 per hour.

Responsibilities

1. Support the Shipping Department by organizing trucks/couriers and creating pick/pack slips and shipping documentation in JDE.
2. Use TMS to tender loads to carriers.
3. Communicate with CSR team and other departments as needed.
4. Pre-call customers prior to shipping.
5. Receive products and materials delivered to Abbotsford manufacturing site in JDE.
6. Arrange outbound shipping for Maintenance/Production Department equipment, parts, and QC samples.
7. Occasionally arrange inbound shipments for production and other departments.
8. Assist with finished goods cycle counts and stock checks for Shipping and Customer Service teams.
9. Assist Shipping Supervisor in assigning and prioritizing customer shipments to hourly Loader Operators.
10. Provide general administrative support, including scanning shipping and receiving documents.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by Shipping Supervisor.
12. Plan loads and process shipping documents (Domestic and International).
13. Assist with customer returns.
14. Code freight invoices in third-party software.
15. Follow all safety rules and complete safety trainings.
16. Provide vacation coverage within the Shipping department.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Grade 12 education, strong Math skills, and attention to detail.
• Safety-oriented mindset.
• Minimum three years’ experience in shipping administration, preferably in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Familiarity with fast-paced environments.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including electronic media.
• Computer literacy with Outlook, Word, Excel, and a major ERP platform (preferably JDE and TMS).
