Extendicare in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, is seeking a Temporary Resident Program Aide for the Mapleview Home. You will plan, implement and evaluate activation programs, support residents during activities, and maintain accurate records under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation, therapeutic recreation, gerontology, registered ECE, or Social Service Worker.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, plus strong documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of one-on-one/group program planning, implementation and evaluation for residents, including those with cognitive impairments.

Monitor the behavior and condition of residents during programs and report any significant changes to the Supervisor and nursing staff as appropriate.· Participate in the development and revision of programs under the guidance of the Supervisor.· Maintain program and resident records according to department policy.
