Job summary

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a Temporary Part Time Educational Assistant at Dr. Brass School in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. EAs support student learning and collaborate with teachers to meet diverse needs.

The position runs 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on a 3.0 hour/day schedule from October 29, 2026 to June 29, 2027, with salary per CUPE 4784 and benefits; candidates should have Grade 12 and value teamwork and confidentiality.

These dynamic individuals support teachers and school teams in meeting the diverse learning needs of students. EAs are valuable members of a team which collaborates to promote student learning, well-being and success.

Assignment And Term

• This position is a temporary part-time position of 3.0 hours/day in accordance with the Educational Assistant school calendar.
• The position commences October 29, 2026 and expires June 29, 2027 with the work schedule to be 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The successful applicant will be working with students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

The Duties Of An Educational Assistant Are To

• Work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals.
• Provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care.
• Assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designate and those listed in Job Description:

The Successful Candidate Will Have The Desired Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
• Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.
• Knowledge of and experience with indigenous ways of knowing, living, and being are a strong asset.

Salary And Benefits

• In Accordance with the CUPE 4784 Collective Agreement

• The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $21.00 - $25.79 plus applicable vacation pay.
• Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP) and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
