Livingstone Range School Division is seeking reliable individuals for Substitute Support Staff in casual roles across Educational Assistant, Child & Youth Care Worker, Learning Commons Facilitator, and School Administrative Assistant positions.

Qualifications

• NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.
• Experience in a learning commons environment (for Learning Commons Facilitator role).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for Administrative Assistant role.

Substitute Support Staff (Educational Assistant, Child & Youth Care Worker, Learning Commons Facilitator and School Administrative Assistant)

Livingstone Range School Division is accepting applications for substitute Support Staff. We are looking for reliable, positive people to join us in casual roles. If you enjoy variety, working with a supportive team and flexible hours, this could be a great fit for you.

Livingstone Range School Division provides comprehensive educational programs and services to approximately 3500 students, kindergarten through to grade twelve in 30 schools including 13 Hutterite Colony schools and 2 outreach schools. LRSD is located in the southwest corner of the province and stretches from Nanton in the north to Fort Macleod in the south and Crowsnest Pass to the west. The Division is highly collaborative and student centered?

Preferred Qualifications (Educational Assistant):

• Experience working with school-aged children in an inclusive classroom setting
• Experience with and/or training working with students with various learning needs.
• Experience with and/or training working with core subject programming and support (LA, math, social studies, and science).
• Certification from accredited Educational Assistant Program or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students/staff in a flexible environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Child & Youth Care Worker):

• Experience working in an inclusive classroom setting.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility.
• Experience providing small group social skills programs.
• Experience with sensory regulation.
• CYCW certification with specialized experience and training in behaviour support preferred.
• NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.

Preferred Qualifications (Learning Commons Facilitator):

• Experience working in a learning commons environment.
• A passion for learning and reading that can be shared with students of all ages and reading ability.
• A willingness to collaborate with staff and students to enhance learning.

Preferred Qualifications (Administrative Assistant):

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in person, electronically, and on the phone
• Welcoming, approachable, and friendly disposition
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Excellent computer skills
• Knowledge and experience with Google and Microsoft Office
• Professional work ethic
