Job description

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a temporary full-time Educational Assistant position at St.Augustine School in Ponoka, Alberta, beginning August 27, 2026 and ending October 9, 2026 with potential for extension. Preferred candidates will have experience working with students with exceptional abilities and/or medical needs. Academic and social support for individual students in a small and large group settings is required. An understanding of Indigenous Learning, Response to Intervention, strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills, an optimistic attitude, and a willingness to be flexible with duties in an ECS - Gr. 12 environment are assets.

Employment is conditional upon the submission of a recent (within six months) Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a recent (within 6 months)Alberta Children's Intervention Record Check. Please note: Catholicity is not a requirement it is considered an asset.
