Temporary Full-time Educational Assistants

East Central Alberta Catholic Separate School Division invites applications for the position of two (2) temporary full-time Educational Assistants at St. Jerome's School in Vermilion, Alberta. The successful candidates will assist the school's complexity needs in its role of providing targeted interventions and skill development for students who require additional support.

The educational assistants will be supporting a Complexity Teacher in the following areas:

• Supporting elementary students with foundational numeracy and literacy by closing learning gaps through small-like groups and possible push-in classroom support
• Supporting social-emotional learning
• Supporting Regulation and Executive Functioning
• Assisting students with self-regulation, organization, attention and readiness for learning

The position starts on August 26, 2026, and the contract will terminate on June 29, 2027. This position is subject to the ECCS-CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) Support Staff Collective Agreement.
