Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.

BONANZA SCHOOL

is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a student-focused and collaborative environment. We invite applications for a Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant (6.5 hours/day). The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certificated teacher. The position may include supporting students in and out of a classroom setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Educational Assistant Diploma is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid would be considered an asset.
• Experience or knowledge of trauma-based practices would be considered an asset.
• Previous school-based experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to meet outside of school hours.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Terms and conditions of employment are outlined in the collective agreement. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $20.06/hour to $26.41/hour.
