Job summary

Rocky View Schools invites applications for a temporary full-time Elementary Generalist (Grade 4) at East Lake School in Chestermere, Alberta. The start is October 23, 2026, with the position ending June 29, 2027.

The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate and provide required references and a vulnerable sector check. East Lake School serves French Immersion and English students in Grades K-9.

Qualifications

• New/Recent Graduates: final practicum report accepted in lieu of reference letter.
• External applicants: professional reference from most recent supervisor on company letterhead (dated within past 18 months).

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Generalist (Grade 4) teaching position starting October 23, 2026 until June 29, 2027, at East Lake School.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at .
• New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.
