Job summary

Rocky View Schools (RVS) invites applications for a temporary full-time Elementary Generalist (Grade 1) teaching position at Elbow Valley Elementary School, starting December 17, 2026, and ending June 29, 2027. The school serves K-4 students with French Immersion and English streams.

The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Generalist (Grade 1) teachingposition starting December 17, 2026 until June 29, 2027 at Elbow Valley Elementary School.

Elbow Valley ElementarySchool is located in Springbank (on the western edge of Calgary) and serves French Immersion and English students from grades K-4. For more information regarding this school, please visit their website at https://elbowvalley.rockyview.ab.ca/.

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

• Applicantsmust possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certificationwith Alberta Education at www.alberta.ca/teacher-certification.
• New/Recent Graduates Only : In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.
• External applicantsmust provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months
• The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
