Job summary

Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking a temporary full-time Elementary EAL/Literacy/Numeracy teacher for A.E. Bowers Elementary School in Airdrie, AB. The position runs immediately until October 6, 2026, with eligibility for Alberta Teaching Certification required.

Applicants may be new graduates submitting practicum reports. External applicants must provide a supervisor reference and a criminal record check within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
• New graduates may submit practicum report instead of references.
• External applicants must provide a current reference from a supervisor written on company letterhead within past 18 months.
• Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach EAL/Literacy/Numeracy to K-5 students and support French Immersion as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive, safe learning environments.
• Participate in school and district assessments and professional learning.
