British Columbia Public School Employers' Association | Make a Future - Careers in BC Education seeks an Education Assistant to support students with diverse needs under supervision. Duties include assisting with programs and supervising a designated area inside or outside the school before, during, and after school.
Requirements include Grade 12 plus Capilano University Education Assistant Program completion, a BC driver's license, and basic first aid knowledge.

EDUCATION ASSISTANT - SUPERVISION
Location: District – North Myrtle Philip Community School
Temporary: September 8, 2026 to June 30, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first
Hours: 4 .7 hours per day, 1 day per week (Education Assistant)
1.0 hour per day, 1 day per week (Supervision) Rate of Pay: $33.69/hour (Education Assistant) $31.49/hour (Supervision)
Under the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities, chronic health diagnoses, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural needs as designated by the Director of Instruction, while supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. Supervision of a designated area either inside or outside the school, before, during and/or after school as defined by the terms of the assignment.
Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year's related experience. A special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License. Knowledge of basic First Aid. Basic knowledge of related learning tools (ie. computers, etc).
