Renfrew County District School Board is seeking Temporary Educational Support Personnel for Opeongo High School in Douglas to assist students with daily living and mobility needs, under the direction of school staff.
A minimum two-year college diploma in social services or equivalent is required; asset trainings include autism spectrum disorder, CPS, BMS, WHMIS and lifting training. This role is 100% FTE, immediate through June 28, 2027, contingent on funding.
SCHOOL: Opeongo High School, Douglas
FTE: 100% (35 hours per week)
TERM: Immediately to June 28, 2027 (subject to funding)
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum two year community college diploma in the social services field (e.g. DSW, CYW, SSW), or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the Board. (Transcripts may be requested to support relevant course detail.)
Applicants must have a proven ability and willingness to perform the essential duties of an Educational Support Personnel, including toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting, transferring, positioning and providing assistance with mobility.
Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the Collective Agreement for the Educational Support Personnel and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
