Job summary

School District No. 51 (Boundary) invites applicants for a StrongStart Facilitator at West Boundary Elementary/Greenwood/Beaverdell, effective Sept 28, 2026.

The role is four hours per day, four days per week, with hours set by the District Principal of Student Services or a designee. Eligibility requires Grade 12 plus an ECE certificate/diploma and BC license to practice, plus a valid Childsafe first aid certificate and two years of recent ECE experience in a licensed setting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 plus an active ECE certificate/diploma and BC license to practice.
• Valid Childsafe first aid certificate.
• Two years of recent ECE experience in licensed childcare.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead a licensed preschool program.
• Maintain a healthy, secure learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with staff, families and children.
• Support budget preparation and purchase/maintenance of supplies.
• Attend school, district, community, regional and provincial meetings as requested.
• Maintain childcare statistics and ensure confidentiality.
• Follow policies from the school, district, Ministry of Education and licensing regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain ECE practice.
