Job summary

Central Okanagan Public Schools is seeking an on-call Strong Start Facilitator to support early learning programs. The role involves coordinating with parents, children, professionals and mentors, maintaining records and budgeting for parent participation initiatives.

Flexibility in hours and the ability to address challenging behaviours are required. Applicants should have Grade 12 and a diploma in Early Childhood Education, plus a Class 5 Driver's Licence and First Aid certification.

It is acknowledged that Central Okanagan Public Schools operates within the unceded, Traditional Territory of the Okanagan syilx peoples. Strong Start Facilitator(0875) - On Call

The Strong Start Facilitator will:
  • work effectively with a variety of parents, children, professionalsand community mentors;
  • maintain accurate records;

  • be required to deal with challenging behaviour issues;
  • attend all early learning professional development activities;
  • have strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • possess knowledge and experience with computers and the internet;
Applicants Must:
  • have completed Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation);
  • possess a valid certificate, preferably a diploma, in Early Childhood Education;
  • possess a Class 5 Driver's Licence;
  • possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid Certificate;
  • possess or be willing to obtain a valid Food Safe Certification;

The wage for this position is $30.89/hour
