The successful candidate will support priority learners, collaborate with teachers, EAs and district staff, and coordinate IEPs, assessments, and student transitions. Qualifications include valid BC Teaching Certificate, Bachelor of Education or equivalent, and experience with inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent.
• Diploma of Inclusive Education or equivalent training.
• Minimum of two years teaching experience with integration focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and EAs to integrate learners with low-incidence designations into regular classes.
• Teach to meet the diverse learning needs of all students and provide instructional opportunities.
• Coordinate/write Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and maintain detailed records.
• Attend and actively participate in school-based team meetings and communicate with parents and outside agencies.
• Facilitate transitions from preschool to kindergarten and from elementary to secondary school.
