Job summary

Carewest seeks a Health Care Aide to join the Complex Continuing Care team in Calgary. Reporting to the Director of Care, the HCA delivers prescribed medications, observes client status, and communicates changes to nursing staff in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Alberta Health Care Aide program completion is required.
• Active and current CLHA registration is required.
• Related health care facility experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing client care as part of an interprofessional team.
• Deliver prescribed medications accurately per policy and procedure.
• Report changes in client status to RN/LPN.
