Job summary

Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools is seeking an Educational Assistant to support students and collaborate with the school planning team. You will follow programs and materials identified by teachers and district leads, and provide feedback on student progress.

The role involves assisting with large and small group activities, helping students with diverse needs, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to establish rapport with students with physical, emotional and learning disabilities from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of behavior management and use of reinforcement per guidelines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and meet with the school planning team to follow programs and materials identified by teachers and leads.
• Provide feedback to the supervising Teacher on observations of students.
• Assist with large group activities and work with small groups or individual students.
