Job summary

Gexel Telecom International Inc. is seeking a Telecom Rigger to install telecommunications equipment, including radios, lines and antennas, and to assemble mobile telecom structures such as cell towers.

The role involves working on towers, rooftops, and inside industrial or commercial facilities. Travel to job sites in Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, Maritimes) is required, with a schedule that may include up to 10 consecutive days.

Responsibilities

  • Install telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.).
  • Perform work at heights on telecommunications towers.
  • Connect and integrate equipment.
  • Move vertically and horizontally within steel or wooden structures.
  • Work while fully suspended in the air when required.
  • Use hand and electronic tools safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams to maintain cohesion across the organization.
  • Promote and participate in a safe, healthy, respectful work environment.
  • Perform related tasks typical of a Wireless Technician.

Job description

The Telecom Rigger is responsible for installing telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.) and mobile telecommunications structures (cell towers). Work may be performed on towers, rooftops, and within industrial or commercial buildings.

Work Schedule
  • Must be available to work from Monday to Friday (possibility of up to 10 consecutive days).
Work Location
  • Travel required to job sites in Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, Maritimes).
Responsibilities
  • Install telecommunications equipment (radios, lines, antennas, etc.);
  • Perform work at heights on telecommunications towers;
  • Connect and integrate telecommunications equipment;
  • Carry out vertical and horizontal movement within steel or wooden structures;
  • Perform tasks while fully suspended in the air;
  • Use hand and electronic tools safely and effectively;
  • Collaborate in maintaining cohesion across all departments of the organization;
  • Promote and contribute to prevention efforts for a healthy, safe, respectful, and continuously improving work environment;
  • Perform any other reasonable and related tasks normally carried out by a Wireless Technician, in keeping with the skills, abilities, and capacity required for the position.
Job Requirements
  • Hold the Health and Safety on Construction Sites certification (ASP Construction);
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
