The Technology department is a strategic partner with BCI’s business areas. It enables investment processes and business activities that contribute to the achievement of BCI’s mission and long-term goals. The department creates the digital capabilities that support and enable BCI to innovate, modernize service and product offerings guided by best practices, and drive a digitally empowered workplace through new collaboration and productivity ecosystems. The department is also responsible for providing the foundational infrastructure, systems, business applications, and advanced technologies for the front, middle, and back office.
Investment Technology and Data and Analytics team within Technology department are looking for 4 individuals to work under supervision to conduct requirements gathering, design and build solutions, and perform analysis across software, automation, data, and analytics on low-to-medium complexity projects. Successful candidates would work on one or more of the following areas:
Has a keen interest in investment technology, data and AI tools and is a self-starter
Has working knowledge of major AI tools like Perplexity, Claude or Copilot
Demonstrates they are a team player, but can also work independently
Demonstrates an extremely strong work ethic and displays initiative to strive to deliver value above and beyond the job description
Comes up with creative ideas to improve business processes
Work term: Winter 2027 (January to April or August) Department: Technology Office Location: 750 Pandora Avenue, Victoria, BC or 666 Burrard Street, Vancouver BC Spend your off hours exploring beautiful Victoria and Vancouver Island or experiencing the beauty of lower mainland All co‑ops/internships will need to be completed in person at our Victoria or Vancouver office with the option to work one day per week from home. Please note, some positions are not eligible for hybrid work.
