Technology Project Lead Job Description

The Technology Project Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority within the business and require basic commercial awareness. Typically, multiple individuals within the business possess similar subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are essential to guide, influence, and convince colleagues and external customers. The role has a significant impact on the area through the delivery of complex projects and provides advice related to technology or operations, affecting overall business performance and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
2. Interface with senior project staff and management regarding project status.
3. Recommend and oversee process improvements.
4. Evaluate complex business and system processes, industry standards, and their impact on the business.
5. Provide expertise and advanced understanding of IT project leadership principles.
6. Understand how various areas (architecture, infrastructure) integrate to achieve business objectives.
7. Influence strategic decisions through advice, counsel, or services.
8. Act as an advisor or coach to junior analysts, including work allocation.
9. Conduct in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
10. Persuade and influence others using strong communication and diplomacy skills.
11. Assess risks appropriately, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and manage control issues transparently.

Qualifications:
