Job summary

Definity is seeking a Winter 2027 IT Business Management Analyst co-op to support the Technology Solutions Resource Management team. You will assist with onboarding/offboarding, weekly/monthly reporting, and data analysis to optimize resource planning.

You will work under the Director, Technology Resource Management, helping with quarterly forecasts, Clarity data extracts, and ad hoc analytics while gaining real-life experience in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel knowledge and ability to use functions such as SUMIFS and VLOOKUP.
• Detail oriented, able to work quickly and accurately with data.
• Previous input and data analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of an IT environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on cloud consumption, labour time, resource chargebacks, capitalisation of labour, and employee training.
• Complete onboarding/offboarding tasks for internal and external employees.
• Participate in quarterly financial forecasting and plan creation activities, including data collection and reporting.
• Update, track, and report resource information including weekly Clarity extracts and reporting.
• Handle ad hoc requests for reporting and analysis related to department resourcing and financials.

What can you expect in this role?

The IT Business Management Analyst will be reporting to the Director, Technology Resource Management and a part of the Technology Solutions Resource Management team. The team is responsible for supporting TS department resourcing activities that include employee onboarding, employee off‑boarding and ongoing support of resourcing activities. The team plays a key shared service role to reduce the resource management activities of the people managers in TS.

What you’ll be doing

• Produce weekly and monthly reporting and analysis on the following topics:
  • Cloud consumption and utilisation - Includes Weekly refresh, forecast updates, monthly tracking and preparation of monthly summary
  • Labour time reporting
  • Resource Chargebacks to Project and Operations Report
  • Capitalisation of Labour
  • Employee Training
• Complete all necessary tasks associated with Internal onboarding/offboarding/changes for internal and external employees
• Participate in quarterly financial forecasting and plan creation activities, including collection, verification, and reporting of data
• Updating, tracking, and reporting of resource information. Includes producing weekly Clarity extract downloads (Clarity PC) + reporting.
• Ad Hoc requests for reporting and analysis related to department resourcing and financials

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
