Job Summary:
This Technology Architect role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in solution design, systems integration, API development, production support, DevOps, development, performance tuning, and incident troubleshooting. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with cloud-based platforms (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), hybrid cloud integration, and risk mitigation strategies for high-sensitivity data. They will lead solution discovery, design, and implementation using agile methodologies, collaborating with various stakeholders including security, privacy, and business teams. Experience with Azure cloud services and specific technologies like Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, and Springboot is crucial. Location: Ontario, Canada
Responsibilities: - Design and architect cloud-based solutions for high-sensitivity data.
- Integrate cross-platform systems with cloud and on-premise solutions (including hybrid cloud).
- Develop and implement value-add components like DevOps automation, scripts, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders (Security, Privacy, Program Management, etc.).
- Gather requirements, create design documentation, and facilitate agile sessions.
- Design scalable domain-based solutions (order management, payment management, etc.).
- Lead solution discovery phases using iterative design tactics.
- Develop and implement architectural designs with security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles.
- Implement projects using an agile delivery model.
- Research, analyze options, and provide strategic advice to senior management.
- Work in accordance with Ontario Public Service policies and GO-ITS standards.
Required Skills & Certifications: - Minimum 10 years of experience in solution design, systems integration, API builds/patterns, production support, DevOps, development, performance tuning, and production incident triage/troubleshooting.
- Minimum 10 years of implementation experience with cloud-based platforms and solutions (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS) and integration of cross-platform systems with cloud and on-prem solutions (including hybrid cloud).
- Minimum 10 years of experience evaluating risk mitigation strategies, designing and architecting cloud-based/cloud-integrated solutions for high-sensitivity data assets.
- Minimum 7 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing value-add components such as DevOps automation, scripts, workflows, data/code/infrastructure CI/CD pipelines with integration to version control.
- Experience in requirements gathering, elaboration, and design documentation including facilitation of agile sessions.
- Experience with scalable domain-based design.
- Experience with development and implementation of an architectural design approach featuring security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles.
- Implementation and project execution experience in an agile delivery model.
- Experience with Azure cloud services (AKS, Azure Functions, API Management, App Gateways, DevOps, SQL, BLOB Storage, Active Directory, App Insights, Log Analytics), Redis, Springboot, ReactJS/React Native, Next.js, Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C#, REST APIs, Git/GitOps, and Azure Resource Management.
