Relevant to the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager role, the incumbent performs sampling and traceability of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, including packaging, according to established procedures from receipt to market release of finished products.

Responsibilities
- Update documents, write and monitor non-conformities with suppliers, and perform required verifications as per company programs
- Participate in managing non-conformities of finished products, in-process items, ingredients, and raw materials, ensuring follow-up
- Maintain up-to-date quality documentation, ensuring its dissemination and archiving
- Conduct investigations in collaboration with other plant sectors to determine the cause of complaints
- Analyze, interpret results, and consult as needed
- Determine, recommend, and support corrective actions for concerned sectors
- Adjust recipes to recover defective products or qualify out-of-spec raw materials to ensure plant operation
- Provide or participate in relevant training on quality prevention and correction points
- Prepare end-of-period reports as needed
- Participate in approval processes for ingredients and raw materials
- Assist with internal, external, and governmental audits and inspections
- Perform other related tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a college diploma from ITA in Quality Control & Development or Production
- Minimum one year of experience in food quality assurance or packaged consumer products; experience in a food manufacturing plant is an asset
- Knowledge of quality systems: HACCP, GFSI
- Knowledge of Six Sigma principles is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Advanced written and spoken French; functional knowledge of English
- Demonstrates autonomy, adaptability, and effective priority management
