Job description

Relevant to the Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager role, the incumbent performs sampling and traceability of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products, including packaging, according to established procedures from receipt to market release of finished products.

Advantages

2. Base salary ranging from $33.93 to $40.63

Responsibilities

• Update documents, write and monitor non-conformities with suppliers, and perform required verifications as per company programs
• Participate in managing non-conformities of finished products, in-process items, ingredients, and raw materials, ensuring follow-up
• Maintain up-to-date quality documentation, ensuring its dissemination and archiving
• Conduct investigations in collaboration with other plant sectors to determine the cause of complaints
• Analyze, interpret results, and consult as needed
• Determine, recommend, and support corrective actions for concerned sectors
• Adjust recipes to recover defective products or qualify out-of-spec raw materials to ensure plant operation
• Provide or participate in relevant training on quality prevention and correction points
• Prepare end-of-period reports as needed
• Participate in approval processes for ingredients and raw materials
• Assist with internal, external, and governmental audits and inspections
• Perform other related tasks

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a college diploma from ITA in Quality Control & Development or Production
• Minimum one year of experience in food quality assurance or packaged consumer products; experience in a food manufacturing plant is an asset
• Knowledge of quality systems: HACCP, GFSI
• Knowledge of Six Sigma principles is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Advanced written and spoken French; functional knowledge of English
• Demonstrates autonomy, adaptability, and effective priority management
