Job summary

Cameco Corporation in Blind River, Ontario invites applications for a Lab Technologist to perform analytical, environmental and radiation protection activities within the analytical services department. Position and Responsibilities

As a Lab Technologist, you will perform a wide range of analytical, environment and radiation protection activities within the analytical services department. Responsibilities include routine and non-routine analysis on received, processed, and exiting material; method development and procedure/equipment/instrumentation troubleshooting; maintenance, calibration, and commissioning of instruments; and collection, monitoring and sample preparation within designated parameters. You will also play an important role in supporting Cameco’s commitment to environmental stewardship by understanding the environmental aspects and impacts associated with the position and performing work in a manner that minimizes those impacts.

Education and Qualifications
  • Diploma inchemical technology or Bachelor of Science in chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory testing procedures. OR
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
  • Laboratory experience in an industrial, manufacturing, mining, or environmental setting.
  • Ability to work within established procedures and safe work practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
