Job description

The Opportunity : iN STUDIO has an exciting opportunity to join our team. We need individuals who can work across multiple projects, interacting with Designers and Partners to support models and all efforts related to Interior Design and Architecture. The role requires experience in drawing and the CA process, along with strong knowledge of Revit technology, design technology models, standards development, and practice. You should have a proven ability to guide teams, educate staff on technology, and assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement in a thoughtful, process-oriented, and supportive manner.

Responsibilities :

  1. Produce thorough and constructable technical drawings for interior design, considering design details and modeling accordingly.
  2. Participate in on-site reviews and attend site meetings as needed.
  3. Proactively identify potential technical issues from early design stages and provide solutions to deliver excellent design to clients.
  4. Coordinate with external consultants such as mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers to ensure the constructability of the design intent.
  5. Work closely with project teams to generate construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD models.
  6. Assist in contract administration phases, including RFIs and review of shop drawings.
  7. Identify and resolve model-management opportunities to optimize performance and user experience.
  8. Participate in at least one iN Studio committee and contribute positively to the company culture.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or related field, or equivalent work experience in the building industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in all phases of interior and/or architectural design delivery, with at least 3 years on corporate interiors/workplace projects.
  • Strong understanding of graphic communication and ability to produce organized, professional drawings.
  • Experience mentoring project teams and transferring technical skills.
  • Ability to provide clear and professional service to clients and team members.
  • Expertise in Revit, including creating parametric families, scheduling, and streamlining production with add-ins.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
  • Experience with real-time visualization tools (Enscape, Twinmotion, Lumion) is a plus.
  • Experience with ACC (BIM 360) model collaboration and review using the Issues module is an asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building systems and codes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively and independently.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, troubleshoot problems, and adapt to changing project needs.
