Job summary

Solotech, a global leader in live productions and systems integration, is hiring a Workshop Technician in Montreal. You will support daily workshop operations, handle shipments, and assist multiple workshop departments.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse, shop, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting 20–40 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
• Forklift operating experience is an asset.
• Education or training in an audiovisual program is an asset.
• Proficiency with computer systems.
• Fluent French and basic English (spoken/written).

Responsibilities

• Place merchandise in the appropriate locations (returns and shipping bays, sorting areas, and the Logistics Hub).
• Handle cable returns, replenishment, and preparation using VLMs (Vertical Lift Modules).
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Provide support to various workshop departments.

Reporting to the Logistics and Cabling Hub Supervisor, the Workshop Technician plays a versatile role in supporting daily workshop operations. The work schedule is Monday to Friday.

Your day will look like this:

• Place merchandise in the appropriate locations (returns and shipping bays, sorting areas, and the Logistics Hub) and move items in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Handle cable returns, replenishment, and preparation using VLMs (Vertical Lift Modules).
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Provide support to various workshop departments.

Your profile:

• Experience working in a warehouse, shop, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform the physical duties, including lifting and moving loads weighing 20 to 40 lbs and walking for extended periods.
• Forklift operating experience is an asset.
• Education or training in an audiovisual program is an asset.
• Proficiency with computer systems.
• Proficiency in French and basic proficiency in spoken and written English.
