Job summary

Domtar, based in Montreal, is seeking a Technician, Invoicing & Deductions to join the Financial Transaction Support group. The role is full-time and hybrid, with responsibilities around reviewing invoicing, month-end closing, and KPI reporting. A background in accounting and ERP systems is essential.

You will work with Sales accounting, ensure accuracy in shipments and billing, and participate in audits. Overtime may be required; bilinguals are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience required.
• Good knowledge of SAP, JDE and BaaN is an asset.
• Overtime is required in this position.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze invoicing transactions for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify improvements to invoicing and review processes.
• Assist Sales accounting in month-end reviews and generate reports.
• Execute month-end activities and track KPIs for pulp & paper billing.
• Support invoicing agents and ensure billing is balanced for shipments, warehouses, and mills.
• Participate in quarterly and year-end audit requests.
• Perform IT testing as needed.

The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Technician, Invoicing & Deductions. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview:

The Financial Transaction Support group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Reporting to the Supervisor Invoicing, you will be responsible for the customer invoicing process.

Your challenges:

• Review and analyze invoicing transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency;
• Identify and Implement improvements to the invoicing and review process;
• Assist the Sales accounting team in review of month-end results and generate financial reports when needed;
• Execute month end activities;
• Develop, track and report on key performance indicators to ensure pulp & paper billing is timely.
• Support the invoicing agents;
• Ensure that invoicing is balanced for the following aspects: shipments, warehouses, mills;
• Participate in the Quarterly / Year-End audit requests.
• Perform some IT testing if needed.

• Experience in order to cash cycle is an asset;
• Good knowledge of SAP, JDE and BaaN is an asset;
• Overtime is required in this position.
