Job summary

Domtar is seeking a Technician, Invoicing & Deductions in Montreal, to join the Finance and Accounting team. The role focuses on customer invoicing, month-end support, and establishing KPIs to improve billing accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in SAP/JDE/BAAN assets, and strong analytical skills. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in order-to-cash cycle is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP, JDE and BAAN is an asset.
• Overtime is required in this position.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze invoicing transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency;
• Identify and Implement improvements to the invoicing and review process;
• Assist the Sales accounting team in review of month-end results and generate financial reports when needed;
• Execute month end activities;
• Develop, track and report on KPIs to ensure invoicing is timely;
• Support the invoicing agents;
• Ensure that invoicing is balanced for shipments, warehouses, mills;
• Participate in the Quarterly / Year-End audit requests;
• Perform some IT testing if needed.

The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Technician, Invoicing & Deductions. This job is full-time permanent .

Overview:

The Financial Transaction Support group executes transactional processes for the Corporation’s pulp and paper mill sector, in the areas of sales accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable.Reporting to the Supervisor Invoicing, you will be responsible for the customer invoicing process.

• Review and analyze invoicing transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency;
• Identify and Implement improvements to the invoicing and review process;
• Assist the Sales accounting team in review of month-end results and generate financial reports when needed;

• Develop, track and report on key performance indicators to ensure pulp & paper billing is timely.
• Support the invoicing agents;
• Ensure that invoicing is balanced for the following aspects: shipments, warehouses, mills;
• Participate in the Quarterly / Year-End audit requests.
• Perform some IT testing if needed.

• Certificate in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;

• Experience in order to cash cycle is an asset;
• Good knowledge of SAP, JDE and BaaN is an asset;
• Overtime is required in this position.
