Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Marketing, or a related field; or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition with high-volume recruitment.
  • Experience working within an HRIS/ATS system (preferably Success Factors).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal formats.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage the full recruitment process from start to finish for internal and external hires, including kick-off meetings, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, debriefs, background checks, offers, and interview scheduling.
  • Adapt sourcing strategies to candidate profiles using LinkedIn, Indeed, and Jobillico.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment journey.
  • Provide consultative insights on candidates to internal stakeholders and recommend ways to support or develop candidates for success in the role.

The location in Montreal , ( Quebec , Canada ), is seeking talent to fill the position of Talent Acquisition Partner. This job is full-time permanent .

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to lead the full-cycle recruitment process for salaried and hourly positions within Domtar, for both our corporate and manufacturing operations. In close collaboration with hiring managers and HR teams, this role is focused on attracting and securing the best qualified candidates for open positions. Key deliverables for this role include providing an exceptional experience for both candidates and hiring managers throughout every stage of the recruitment journey.

This position calls for a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven professional. The ideal candidate thrives on talent sourcing, engaging passive candidates, and building strong relationships with business stakeholders. Working closely with fellow recruiters, this role ensures a smooth and consistent candidate experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage the full recruitment process from start to finish for internal and external hires, including kick-off meetings, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, debriefs, background checks, offers, and interview scheduling.
  • Adapt sourcing strategies to candidate profiles using a variety of platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Jobillico.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment journey.
  • Provide consultative insights on candidates to internal stakeholders and recommend ways to support or develop candidates for success in the role.
  • Track and manage candidate pipelines, requisitions, and applicant activity through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Represent the company at career fairs and recruitment events to attract top talent.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to strengthen recruitment skills.
  • Contribute to talent acquisition and cross-functional projects across the organization.
  • Promote Domtar's employer brand through LinkedIn and other marketing channels.
  • Build strong partnerships with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and advise how different skill requirements impact time-to-fill.
  • Create recruitment tools such as job descriptions, interview guides, LinkedIn posts, etc.
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Manage a high volume of requisitions simultaneously, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Think creatively to propose tailored recruitment strategies for unique situations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Talent Program Manager to support early career initiatives.
  • Manage partnerships and contracts with external recruitment agencies.
  • Proactively build and maintain talent pipelines by developing target lists and engaging with high-potential candidates from competitors and industry leaders.
  • Plan and facilitate hiring events to attract and engage candidates.
  • Develop marketing campaigns on various social media platforms to support recruitment efforts.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute meaningful input.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor hiring practices to refine recruitment strategies.
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders on interviewing techniques and recruitment best practices.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Talent Acquisition processes and provide market intelligence insights.
  • Recommend innovative improvements to enhance recruitment effectiveness.
  • Consistently demonstrate professionalism and represent Domtar as an ambassador aligned with its mission, vision, and values.
  • Identify and recommend internal candidates in line with the internal mobility strategy.
