WHO WE ARE

We are looking for dedicated technicians who are enthusiastic about preserving our planet through clean, renewable wind energy. As a Vestas technician, you'll apply your electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical experience, ensuring safety for yourself and your team.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICIAN

In this advanced-level position, you'll use your skills, equipment knowledge, and self-direction to perform work on wind turbines with minimal supervision. You'll modify procedures, develop, and implement action plans, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level technicians.

Your typical day may involve working 250 feet above the ground or in confined spaces for maintenance and repairs. You will be outdoors, sometimes in challenging weather conditions, climbing, carrying tools, and moving parts.

Teamwork, professionalism, safety, and attention to detail are vital to our reputation and success. We encourage suggestions to improve safety and work quality.

MORE ABOUT YOU

• You have a three-year technical associate degree or equivalent and at least one year of wind energy experience.

• You possess a valid Driver's License and can obtain a passport.

• You can climb stairs and ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.

• You have experience with complex power tools, hydraulic rams, inductive heaters, diagnostic tools, and data collection devices.

• You demonstrate advanced knowledge of industrial safety practices, including energy isolation and risk mitigation.

• You have basic computer skills, are familiar with internet-based programs, and can interpret data.

• You communicate effectively with customers and collaborate well with colleagues.

• You can read and interpret drawings and schematics to develop procedures and validate work activities.
