Job summary

Bosch Building Technologies North America is seeking a Technician I - Security to support installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic security systems. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with low voltage access control, CCTV, and prewiring projects.

The role requires strong communication, reliable driving, and the ability to work independently, with occasional night shifts based on project needs.

As a Technician I - Security with Bosch Building Technologies, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems. You’ll work with experienced technicians to gain hands‑on experience with low voltage access control systems, CCTV setups, and prewiring projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components
• Assist in installing and servicing electronic security systems, including pre‑wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarm systems
• Provide customer training and respond to technical inquiries
• Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities
• Administrative duties including project updates to Project Managers, completing and filing all project documentation
• May be required to work nights shifts when needed based on project/service requirements
• Perform other tasks as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1‑3 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
• Proficiency in cable pulling, installation, and basic troubleshooting
• Experience with security systems, CCTV, and alarms
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and team members
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract
• Able to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
• Post secondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset
• Basic knowledge of low voltage systems, CCTV, and pre‑wiring is desirable but not required
