Description

Alamos Gold Inc. Young-Davidson is currently recruiting the following challenging position to join our operations team:

Alamos Gold is a Canadian-based gold producer with a long-term track record of creating value for all stakeholders through solid financial performance, low-cost production growth, and a company-wide commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship. We currently operate three mines - two in Canada and one in Mexico - and we have a strong portfolio of development stage projects, including the Lynn Lake Project and Island Gold Phase 3+ Expansion in Canada, and Puerto Del Aire Project in Mexico. Alamos also has an early-stage exploration project in Canada, the Qiqavik Gold Project. Our core values of safety, teamwork, environmental sustainability, integrity and commitment allow our more than 1,900 dedicated team members to thrive in their careers and to create a lasting legacy that benefits all Alamos stakeholders.

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. This is a very exciting time at Young-Davidson, and we are searching for highly motivated and committed people to join our team!

If you are willing to be part of a team that is dedicated to growth, high performance and a culture of safety and accountability, we would like to hear from you!

Join Us in Supporting Environmental Stewardship!

Are you passionate about environmental compliance in mining? Do you thrive in hands-on fieldwork and enjoy working independently while collaborating across site teams? If you bring environmental monitoring experience, careful recordkeeping and sound judgment, we want to hear from you!

  • Records and reporting: Maintain field notes and tracking spreadsheets, support EQWin data uploads and regulatory reporting, and prepare notices, memos, signage, investigative reports and hazardous waste inventory reports.
  • Equipment and supplies: Download field instrumentation data; maintain monitoring equipment, ATVs, snowmobiles and boat/motor; and manage sampling bottles, reagents, field supplies and hazardous waste area organization.
  • Reclamation and safe work: Support reclamation and closure activities, maintain needed materials and equipment, conduct seeding as required, follow Alamos Gold policies and report safety or environmental hazards.
