Job summary

Alamos Gold Inc. is a Canadian-based intermediate gold producer with operations in North America.

The Environmental Technician role is based in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, on a 15/13 rotation, with travel from home to site and room and board provided at the company’s expense. You will collect air, water, and soil samples, process data, and support monitoring programs to ensure federal and provincial compliance, and contribute to reclamation and closure processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies or Technical Environmental Diploma
• 2-5 years of environmental and mining-related experience
• Experience in environmental compliance monitoring in the mining industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software
• Experience with digital field data entry systems
• Proficiency in navigational skills using maps, compasses, and GPS
• Driver’s license required
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Collect and process air, water, soil etc. samples for compliance monitoring.
• Ship collected samples to offsite analytical laboratories, ensuring proper packaging and temperature control.
• Collect data from and program various data loggers.
• Perform light maintenance on sampling pumps, generators, and equipment.
• Operate field equipment for sample collection (e.g., pumps, controllers, pH meters, GPS equipment).
• Follow quality control and quality assurance protocols to monitoring programs.
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate monitoring and sample collection equipment.
• Carry out environmental data entry, review, and management.
• Participate in field investigations and inspections.
• Assist in analyzing field and analytical data to draft technical reports and communications.
• Respond to environmental incidents.
• Maintain equipment, including ATVs, snowmobiles, and boats.
• Support information gathering for regulatory reports and contribute to reclamation and closure processes

The Environmental Technician is responsible for collecting in situ and compliance monitoring data, processing a variety of air, water, and soil samples, and supporting environmental monitoring programs to ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations, Alamos Gold Inc’s corporate conditions, and Indigenous Nation agreements. You will be based in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, and will work a 15/13 rotational schedule. Travel from your home to the site, and room and board will be provided at the Company’s expense

Salary Range: CAD $62,250 to $112,150

The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
