Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking an Automotive Journeyman Technician to join our team at Canyon Meadows Hyundai in Calgary. The successful candidate is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growing team.

We are looking for an Automotive Service Technician Trade-certified professional or an outstanding 3rd/4th year apprentice with the right attitude, plus a valid driver’s license and the ability to work with import, European, or luxury vehicles.

Qualifications

• Certified Automotive Service Technician or advanced apprentice with strong attitude.
• Valid driver's license with clean abstract.
• Experience with import, European or luxury vehicles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a high quality of workmanship, diagnostics and maintenance repair to standards.
• Performing new vehicle Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) to factory standards.
• Reporting deficiencies not noted on the repair order.
• Using images/videos from customers or advisors to identify repairs.
• Road tests to identify issues and confirm repairs are completed.
• Providing advisors with summaries of additional maintenance and/or required work.
• Providing accurate parts and labour estimates via dealership software.
• Recording cause and correction in dealership software on repair orders.
• Completing technician portions and related inspection forms.
• Following manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a high qualityof workmanship, diagnostics and maintenance repair as per requiredstandards.
• Performing new vehiclePre-delivery inspection (PDI) to factory standards.
• Reporting all mechanicalor safety related deficiencies not noted on the repair order.
• Referring to imagesand/or videos provided by the customer or service advisor to assist inidentifying repairs needed.
• Performing road tests toidentify issues and subsequently confirms repairs are completed to asatisfactory level.
• Providing service advisorswith a summary of additional maintenance and/or required work that needsto be performed.
• Providing service advisorswith accurate parts and labour estimates through utilizing our dealershipsoftware.
• Accurately recording thecause and correction of the issue in our dealership software on customerrepair orders.
• Completing theTechnician portion and related inspection forms.
• Maintaining and followsmanufacturer warranty policies and procedures.

ABOUT YOU

• Automotive ServiceTechnician Trade certification. We would consider an outstanding 3rd or4th year Apprentice Technician with the right attitude and desire tolearn.
• Experience with Import,European or Luxury vehicles is an asset.
• You have a validDriver’s license and provide a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Ability to carefully andsafely drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
• Ability to lift andcarry heavy items and equipment such as tires, tools and equipment.
