Job summary

Desjardins Group is hiring a Temporary 12-month Property Management, Build-out and Safety Technician to support fire prevention, building safety, and related projects. You’ll tailor methods, analyze processes, and provide technical expertise across the unit’s activities and systems.

Join a team delivering training, process improvements, and standardization while collaborating with partners and English-speaking colleagues. This role requires French fluency and a working knowledge of English.

• College diploma in a related field is required.

• French language proficiency is required for duties and collaboration.

Job description

Temporary 12- Month Position As a property management, build-out and safety technician, you assist with fire prevention and building safety and management. You also assist with build-outs. You serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for your unit’s activities, initiatives and processes. The ability to tailor your approach as needed is therefore essential. You research and analyze processes, information management and data processing. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to solve technically complex problems and recommend ways to change or adjust methods and procedures to make them as effective and efficient as possible. More specifically, you will be required to: Provide technical support for projects and simple and complex operational issues Plan and coordinate the rollout and maintenance of software and manual and automated processes. Train users Prepare technical notes to enhance the skills and knowledge of users and their teams Help practitioners follow your unit’s standards and processes and use its business solutions, tools and systems. Serve as resource person for the submission of solutions and action plans

What you bring to the table

• College diploma in a related field
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience
• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
• Knowledge of French is required
• Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
