Job summary

Desjardins Group in Canada invites applications for a turnaround and recovery advisor based in Montreal or hybrid. You will help develop and implement strategies to manage distressed loans and bad debt, extend guarantees, advise clients and partners, and propose solutions to improve standards and programs.

The role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder coordination, and French language proficiency; English required for interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum four years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Intermediate advanced English due to duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes.
  • Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans.
  • Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports.
  • Carry out projects and initiatives related to your line of work.

Job responsibilities

The position will be unionized if the selected candidate is based in Montreal. As a turnaround and recovery advisor, you help develop and implement strategies to manage, monitor and resolve distressed loans and bad debt. You also extend guarantees. You advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives. You recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to: Diagnose issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes Develop and help implement objectives, solutions and action plans Analyze data, conduct studies, make recommendations and write reports Carry out projects and initiatives related to your line of work Serve as resource person for your unit, clients and partners.
