Job summary

VinFast Canada is seeking Automotive Service Technicians to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems for our new electric brand in North America. You will work on electrical, mechanical, and software issues and collaborate with service staff to meet timelines.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years as an automotive technician, a valid 310S license, a clean driving record, and willingness to work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as an Automotive Technician.
• Valid 310S License (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle components; EV experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive service, mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
• Promptly perform work as stated in work orders and maintain timelines.
• Communicate with Service staff to align on timelines and expectations.
• Obtain parts from parts department and return them as required.
• Escalate difficult repairs to Lead Technician for prompt solutions.
• Adhere to VinFast policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Continue learning via VinFast training and courses; discuss issues with customers when needed.
• Keep the shop clean and tidy; perform other related duties as required.

As a new and cutting-edge electric automobile brand in North America, we are looking for high caliber Automotive Service Technicians. In this role, your expertise will be relied upon to diagnose and perform a wide range of automotive service and mechanical repairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Ability to effectively diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive service, mechanical, electrical, and software issues
• Promptly and efficiently perform all necessary work as stated in work orders
• Frequently communicate with Service staff on all work required to ensure alignment on timelines and expectations
• Obtain parts from parts department and return parts as required
• Escalate and clearly communicate all difficult repairs to the Lead Technician to ensure prompt solutions
• Maintain consistent understanding and compliance with VinFast policies and procedures
• Adhere to all safety and security regulations in the workplace
• Constant learning and upgrading of knowledge base via VinFast training and courses
• Ability, at times, to discuss issues with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Ensure that the shop is clean and tidy
• Other related duties as required

WHAT YOU BRING

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, previous experience with an electric automobile brand preferred
• Valid 310S License (or equivalent)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract/record
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle components, past Electric Vehicle experience an asset
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and understanding of wiring diagrams
• Flexibility to work retail business hours, including Saturdays
