Job summary

Desjardins in Lévis is seeking a Technician for a 12-month, on-site role in life and health insurance claims. You will perform data collection, coding, and administrative tasks, communicate with stakeholders, and support process improvements while learning from experienced colleagues.

The position requires a college diploma, a min of one year of relevant experience, French language, and good English; Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full-time with competitive benefits.

• Knowledge of French is required.
• Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
• Available to work Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Temporary position for 12 months.

The work mode arrangement for the position is full-time on site.

As a Technician, you help process life and health insurance claims, promote occupational health and manage disabilities. You provide discipline-specific technical support and help your unit carry out its activities, initiatives and processes in accordance with established policies and procedures. You support your unit’s more experienced employees and assist with technical work and analysis involving processes, information management and data processing. The ability to tailor your approach as needed and make sound decisions is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Perform various administrative tasks related to data collection, entry, modification, compilation and coding
• Communicate, verbally or in writing, with various stakeholders to obtain or validate information concerning files
• Participate in the resolution of simple and common problems and make the most of your adaptability
