Job summary

Dilawri Group of Companies is seeking an Automotive Journeyman Technician to join the Infiniti North Calgary team. The successful candidate will be passionate about the automotive industry and contribute to a growing, customer-focused service operation.

Ideal candidates will hold an Automotive Service Technician trade certification or be a strong 3rd/4th year apprentice. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and accurate diagnostics in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician Trade certification (or top Apprentice with the right attitude).
• Experience with Import, European or Luxury vehicles is an asset.
• Valid Driver’s license and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Ability to drive both standard and automatic vehicles safely.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items/equipment.
• Growth mindset and ongoing skill development.
• Collaborative, respectful team player with passion for customer experience.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high workmanship quality, diagnostics, and maintenance per standards.
• Perform new vehicle Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) to factory standards.
• Report mechanical or safety deficiencies not on the repair order.
• Refer to customer/service advisor images/videos to identify repairs.
• Road test vehicles to verify issues and post-repair quality.
• Provide service advisors with summaries of additional maintenance needed.
• Provide accurate parts and labour estimates via dealership software.
• Record causes and corrections in the repair orders in software.
• Complete Technician portions and related inspection forms.
• Follow manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.

Position Overview

We are looking for an Automotive Journeyman Technician to join our team at Infiniti North Calgary. The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eager to contribute to our growing team.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintaining a high quality of workmanship, diagnostics and maintenance repair as per required standards.
• Performing new vehicle Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) to factory standards.
• Reporting all mechanical or safety related deficiencies not noted on the repair order.
• Referring to images and/or videos provided by the customer or service advisor to assist in identifying repairs needed.
• Performing road tests to identify issues and subsequently confirms repairs are completed to a satisfactory level.
• Providing service advisors with a summary of additional maintenance and/or required work that needs to be performed.
• Providing service advisors with accurate parts and labour estimates through utilizing our dealership software.
• Accurately recording the cause and correction of the issue in our dealership software on customer repair orders.
• Completing the Technician portion and related inspection forms.
• Maintaining and follows manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Automotive Service Technician Trade certification. We would consider an outstanding 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Technician with the right attitude and desire to learn.
• Experience with Import, European or Luxury vehicles is an asset.
• You have a valid Driver’s license and provide a clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard and automatic vehicles.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and equipment such as tires, tools and equipment.
