Job summary

Lios Technologies is seeking a skilled technical writer in Granby, Canada, to develop manuals, online help, and training materials for IT and manufacturing sectors. You will gather information from clients, coordinate editors and designers, and craft clear technical content across software, machinery, and high-tech contexts.

You will present information visually through diagrams and graphics, and drive revision cycles with clients to ensure accurate, user-friendly documentation.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in technical writing.
• Proficient in English with good French is a plus.
• Degree in engineering, communications, CS, or writing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Lios Technologies is a small company with big skills. We develop technical communication solutions of all sizes, including user manuals, online help, and training materials, for organizations of all sizes, mostly in the IT and manufacturing industries.

What you’ll do

At Lios, we devote our energies to creating all kinds of tools and solutions for technical communication and knowledge transfer. We’re just as good at creating installation, user, and maintenance manuals as we are at writing online help, training materials, Web content, and so on.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Gather information from clients
• Coordinate in-house and external collaborators (copyeditors, translators, graphic designers, etc.)
• Write technical content for industries such as software, machinery, high technology, and manufacturing
• Presenting information in graphics (diagrams, images, etc.) for documentation
• Manage documentation revision processes with clients

• Camtasia, Snagit, or similar software
• Jira, Confluence, Slack, and other project management tools

What we require

• Degree in a relevant field (engineering, communications, computer science, writing, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (good knowledge of French is an asset)
• At least two years of experience in technical writing
