Responsibilities
  • Research, plan, write, and QC technical, maintenance, or operational data using engineering and approved data from multiple sources, ensuring adherence to schedule.
  • Identify and implement process and product improvements aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Plan, perform, and document procedural validations according to departmental standards, recommending optimal resource use.
  • Respond to customer and operator requests and issues satisfactorily.
  • Coordinate and define publication plans.
  • Establish standards for creation and distribution of documentation in electronic formats (e.g., S1000D, ATA).
  • Identify, evaluate, and define action plans and schedules to minimize risks to publication completion.
How to thrive in this role?
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) in aerospace or a related field, or have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in Technical Publications.
  • Background in aircraft maintenance, flight crew, or as a pilot is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP (asset).
  • Understanding of Technical Publications processes and technologies (asset).
  • Basic knowledge of S1000D and ATA specifications (asset).
  • Experience with HTML, SGML, and XML authoring languages (asset).
  • Experience in product development (asset).
  • Experience in troubleshooting methodologies in high-tech environments.
  • Keen understanding of Bombardier Customer Services and Support (asset).
  • Knowledge of design procedures and Bombardier Aerospace Engineering Systems (asset).
