JOB OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of Technical and Development Manager, the successful candidate will support the training program for FTAI (propulsion, repair center, ESH, quality and other departments requiring training. This includes the proactive identification of training needs (needs assessment), reactive training (lessons learned), on-the-job training management and coordination and some course delivery of the training program.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical and non-technical training
  • Conduct the onboarding process
  • Control and develop various training matrices
  • Proactive identification of training needs (needs assessment), reactive training (lessons learned), on-the-job training and coordination and course delivery of the training program.
  • Identifying and contributing to the Master Training Plan and training material
  • Authoring Master Lesson Plans and conducting related activities including production of student handouts, instructor guides, quizzes, tests, assignments and other presentation material.
  • Conducting training delivery including lectures, presentations, demonstrations, practical hands-on leadership, assignments, tests, quizzes, marking and associated administration
  • Supporting Web-Based Training activities through data collection, storyboarding/scripting, reviews, workshops and other related activities
  • Build standard training plan applicable to FTAI employee.
  • Create personalized training plan applicable for FTAI employee.
  • Ensure that all processes relating to the training needs are met; organize training events and reserve training rooms and equipment.
  • Conduct business training needs assessment and keep technical training program up to date.
  • Control and develop various training matrices
  • Supporting various departments in identifying training and competence requirements for new product.
  • Oversee the successful completion of scheduled training activity
  • Perform administration tasks pertaining to the coordination of the FTAI Training Program

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years’ experience as trainer or lead experience.
  • Diploma in a technical field related to aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) setting or a Bachelor s degree in an applicable field will be an asset
  • Broad knowledge of and experience in industrial-based skills,
  • Aviation regulations and requirements
  • Aviation technical experience.
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Able to focus on the development of others
  • Proficient in French and English

Language Requirements in Quebec:

Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.
