Job description

Under direct supervision, performs work of moderate complexity related to departmental teaching, research, and/or administrative activities.Work is directly related to teaching and/or research. The Technologist performs routine laboratory work or laboratory duties in accordance with direction and guidelines.

  • Performs other related duties as required; such duties may be specific to departmental orSchool needs.
  • Maintains level of knowledge required for duties of position.
  • Works in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, with other health andsafety-related legislation and standards, and with such workplace practices as outlined byhis/her immediate supervisor.
  • Takes every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of workers and/orstudents in his/her charge.
Qualifications
