The Role

As we grow, QuidelOrtho is seeking a Technical Service Representative based in Regina, SK. This role involves providing on-site technical product services, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic medical devices. It is a remote position with benefits such as a company car, gas card, cell phone, and laptop. The candidate should reside within the Regina area.

The Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, test, and certify electronic medical devices supported by QuidelOrtho.
  • Provide service to hospitals across Manitoba and serve as a backup for Saskatchewan when needed.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately related to service calls and preventive maintenance.
  • Stay current with industry practices and assist with customer presentations and trade shows as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
The Individual

Candidates must meet Customer Credentialing requirements, which may include immunizations. The company provides reasonable accommodations for those unable to be vaccinated, in accordance with laws.

Required
  • Graduation from a community college or university in electronic/biomedical engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent English communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and proactive attitude.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment.
  • Valid driving skills and license.
  • Legal ability to travel to the US for training.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Legal work authorization in Canada; no sponsorship provided.
  • Travel up to 70% required.
Preferred
  • Experience in hospital laboratories repairing medical equipment.
Key Working Relationships

Internal partners include field service teams, sales, technical specialists, and support departments. External partners include laboratory managers and supervisors.

Work Environment

This role involves a typical workweek with overtime in an outside field environment. It requires self-motivation, organization, and discipline to work independently from a home office. The physical demands include frequent use of hands, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds. Travel can include airplane, train, and overnight stays.
