Our portfolio of award-winning products, services, and software is used by organizations across Canada and around the world that require reliability in all types of mission-critical systems.

Role:

As Technical Sales Representative, you will be a sales achiever with the technical and sales talents needed to retain and expand the use of Siemens Communications portfolio with organizations responsible for critical infrastructure across Western Canada.

  • Ensure a high-quality customer experience at every opportunity
  • Drive the adoption of the Siemens communications portfolio
  • Lead the sales process including presentations, relationship building, proposal preparation, and closing
  • Identify, develop, and manage small, large, and complex opportunities, engaging technical resources as needed
  • Manage sales via exclusive agents and vertical-specific distributors: coach and lead consultative selling of complex, highly-engineered, mission-critical systems
  • Attend and host trade shows and other promotional events representing Siemens
  • Prepare formal bid packages / tender responses and solutions
  • Work closely with internal businesses to develop opportunities and provide market feedback
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets, maintain sales pipeline, and associated reporting

What will you need to succeed?

  • 3+ years sales and selling experience in a similar environment is required
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with integrity and strong planning and execution skills
  • Customer and quality-focused; able to influence and build relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Strong technical background in networking (wireline, wireless, cybersecurity, etc.)
  • Experience with all stages of direct and indirect sales including demand generation, proposal preparation, negotiation, closing, and after-sales support
  • Comfortable and experienced managing opportunities with long sales cycles
  • Strong verbal communicator with excellent writing skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Experience with utility, transportation, and/or process control systems
  • Strong analytical and diagnostics skills an asset
  • This role requires 50-75% travel within the Western Canada region
