Job summary

Total Safety U.S. Inc. in Canada is seeking a Rescue Supervisor/Instructor to manage and coordinate all operational functions of the rescue team. You will lead technical rescue courses, mentor personnel, and ensure certifications and safety standards are met.

You will develop rescue plans, coordinate activities, and deliver training programs with classroom instruction and hands-on exercises. Strong leadership, safety focus, and regulatory knowledge are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and five years’ industrial experience or equivalent training.
  • Experience in a Rescue environment within an industrial service, refining, petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
  • Must have current valid driver’s license and valid proof of vehicle insurance if driving company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a lead instructor for Technical Rescue courses, mentoring rescue personnel and ensuring team members maintain the knowledge, skills, and certifications required to perform rescue operations safely and effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Rescue Action Plan.
  • Coordinate, manage, and supervise all functional groups involved in rescue activities.
  • Develop a mission specific Rapid Intervention Plan including personnel and equipment needs.
  • Oversees the human resource functions of the team including performance appraisals and coaching.
