Job summary

Total Safety in Alberta is seeking a Rescue Supervisor/Instructor to manage and coordinate all operational functions of the rescue team. The role includes leading Technical Rescue training, developing action plans, and supervising multiple rescue groups across field and shop environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial rescue, certifications, and proven leadership in safety training.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s degree and 5 years in industrial setting; 10 years total preferred.
• Experience in Rescue environments within industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructor for Technical Rescue courses and mentor rescue personnel.
• Develop and implement Rescue Action Plan.
• Coordinate and supervise all rescue activity groups.
• Prepare briefings and situation reports for missions.
• Deliver Technical Rescue training: classroom and hands-on.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain records.
• Prepare performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
